
The Lithuanian government decided to put the country under a nationwide quarantine, imposing restrictions on public life and businesses. The measure will come into effect on Saturday, November 7, and will last at least until November 29.

As of Monday, October 26th, a new list of affected countries compiled following the ‘traffic light’ principle has come to effect.

Travelers coming from Norway to Lithuania will not need to self-quarantine as of Monday next week, October 12.

The Government has made decisions regarding entry of foreigners into Lithuania.

Based on the weekly assessment of the transmission situation for coronavirus, the Government has decided that Lithuania will change from yellow to red in the infection map for Europe. As a result, all travellers from Lithuania who come to Norway from Saturday 26 September at 00.00 a.m. must go into 10 days of quarantine.

The list of countries most affected by the coronavirus infection (COVID-19) was updated on Friday, 18 September, to take effect as of 21 September. Norwayhas been added to the list of affected countries, as coronavirus incidence rate has gone above 25 cases per 100 000 population over the last 14 days. Persons arriving from or transiting through the affected countries are required to self-isolate.

To control the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), the Government decided to declare quarantine on the entire territory of the Republic of Lithuania. The quarantine regime shall be effective from 16 March 2020, 00:00, until 16 June 2020, 24:00. As of June 17, State-level emergency regime.

The Cabinet has agreed to extend the lockdown until 31 May while continuing to ease the current restrictions. Nurseries and pre-school groups will soon reopen, events will resume. It has been decided to lift the ban of the dentist services and beauty parlours.

At the recommendation of the Ministry of Health, the Government has extended the quarantine for another two weeks, until 11 May. The second phase of quarantine easing begins next week.
