100th anniversary of the Lithuanian-Norwegian diplomatic relations
Dear friends,
Congratulations on 100 years anniversary of the Lithuanian-Norwegian diplomatic relations!
This year is an exceptional year in terms of Lithuanian-Norwegian bilateral ties. On 30 September 1921, Norway recognized Free and Independent Republic of Lithuania. This year we also celebrate the 30 years anniversary of restoration the diplomatic relations as on 27 August 1991, Norway recognized Lithuania's restored independence.
Norway and Lithuania have developed a close political and economic bilateral cooperation and share the same vision of the future. Future for us means respect, dialogue and solidarity.
Tens of thousands of Lithuanians, for whom Norway has become a second home, have built strong human bridges between Lithuania and Norway.
We are grateful to Norway for the support and partnership.
Taking the opportunity, I would like to thank you for your input into Lithuanian-Norwegian relations and invite you to a virtual exhibition, which presents a historical overview of the development of our bilateral ties. http://ltnodiplomatiniaisantykiai.lt/
