Oslo Innovation Week 2026: Lithuania and Norway strengthen cooperation in engineering and technology sectors
On 20 October, 2026, in the framework of Oslo Innovation Week, the Lithuanian-Norwegian Industry Forum ‘Securing Europe’s Engineering & Technology Supply Chains’ was held to discuss the resilience of European engineering and technology supply chains and opportunities for bilateral industrial cooperation. The forum was organized by the Lithuanian Embassy in Norway in collaboration with the Lithuanian Professionals’ Club in Oslo (LPO), the Innovation Agency and the Lithuanian Engineering and Technology Industry Association (LINPRA).
The forum was opened by Mr. Vytautas Pinkus, Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania to the Kingdom of Norway. The forum served as a platform for industry representatives from both countries to exchange insights and experiences, showcase their expertise and explore new avenues for cooperation. Company presentations and bilateral business meetings (B2B) provided an opportunity to discuss specific partnership initiatives and the prospects for joint projects.
During their visit to Norway, the Lithuanian business delegation also visited Aker Solutions, Kongsberg Maritime and the KONGSBERG Group. During the meetings, the companies’ activities and strategic directions were presented, and opportunities for developing cooperation with Lithuanian companies were discussed.
The partnership between Lithuania and Norway in the engineering and technology sectors opens up significant opportunities for companies in both countries to strengthen their competitiveness in European markets. The expertise, manufacturing capacity and potential of the electronics industry in Lithuania’s engineering and technology sector complement Norway’s industrial experience and technological capabilities. Closer cooperation can contribute to the creation of more reliable supply chains, the development of innovation and the implementation of new international projects.
The programme of the visit was complemented by a reception at the Lithuanian Embassy in Norway to mark the 35th anniversary of the re-establishment of diplomatic relations between Lithuania and Norway. The event, which featured a concert by the Lithuanian and Norwegian string quartet ‘Brezza’, highlighted the importance of the long-standing partnership, constructive dialogue and close ties between the two countries, as well as their significance for the further development of cooperation.
