Parliamentary cooperation discussed at the meeting between Lithuanian Ambassador and President of the Storting
On November 19, Lithuanian Ambassador to Norway Izolda Bričkovskienė was received by President of the Storting Olemic Thommessen.
Meeting at the Storting focused on bilateral and regional – Nordic-Baltic – cooperation, stressing the role of national parliaments in developing relations among countries. Ambassador Bričkovskienė expressed gratitude to the Storting for its long-term support to the Lithuanian Seimas, while also drawing attention to the interest of Lithuanian MPs to continue cooperation with their Norwegian counterparts. President Thommessen highly appreciated Lithuania’s progress since restoring its independence. Moreover, the head of the Norwegian parliament supported the necessity to further strengthen bilateral ties between Lithuania and Norway.
