SEVEN BRIDGES IN THE CENTRE OF THE WORLD
In the seminar “Electronic Literature in Europe” that will take place in Bergen University on September 11-13, two Lithuanians Gintas Kraptavičius and Raimundas Eimontas will present an audio poetry work – performance “Seven Bridges in the Centre of the World”. The event will take place on September 12th at Landmark Cafe (Rasmus Meyers allé 5). The program starts at 20:15. “Septyni Tiltai Pasaulio Centre” is an audio poetry piece – performance. Electronic music is composed and played by Gintas K, who processes the voice of the reader live. Poetry by Robertas Kundrotas, Mindaugas Peleckis, and Raimundas Eimontas is read by Raimundas Eimontas. Contemporary haiku style texts, written in the Lithuanian language, provoke sharp poetic insights and come to eternal theme of love; at the same time, the live voice is modified via pc software “AudioMulch”, dives into various musical perspectives - from industrial sound to granulated emptiness. The performance was for the first time presented in the festival of audiovisual poetry "Tarp: Vasaros 5", which took place at the Mental Hospital (Vasaros str. 5), Vilnius, Lithuania, October 13, 2007. Audio recording of the performance was released by Zeromoon netlabel in January, 2008. Poetry: Robertas Kundrotas, Mindaugas Peleckis, Raimundas Eimontas Voice: Raimundas Eimontas Sound: Gintas K The performance is sponsored by the Lithuanian Embassy in Oslo, with the support from the Ministry of Culture of Lithuania.
