Western members of the United Nations Security Council show solidarity with Lithuania and condemn Minsk for its migrants

Estonia, France, Ireland, Norway, the United States and Britain raised the migrant crisis during a closed-door meeting of the 15-member body.

In response to the complicated situation on the Poland-Belarus border, a state of emergency came into force in Lithuania’s border region with Belarus, with effect from 10 November.
